Como parte de su próximo documental, Sound City, Dave Grohl lanzará el soundtrack oficial que cuenta con colaboraciones de muchas leyendas que han grabado en los estudios Sound City.
Entre los artistas, que grabaron canciones para el soundtrack están, Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Paul McCartney (The Beatles), Krist Novoselic (Nirvana), Pat Smear (Foo Fighters), Alain Johannes (Eleven, QOTSA), Corey Taylor (Slipknot), Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac), Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), Nate Mendel (Foo Fighters) y Rick Springfield, entre otros.
Destaca la colaboración de Grohl, Reznor y Homme en el track titulado, “Mantra” y la recién estrenada “Cut Me Some Slack” de Grohl, McCartney, Smear y Novoselic.
Sound City se estrenará en el Sundance Film Festival.
