Aquellos que no pudieron ver la película de Metallica en el cine, o aquellos otros a los que les gustó tanto que necesitan imperiosamente repetir, tendrán una nueva oportunidad a partir del 28 de enero de 2014, fecha en la que la banda californiana pondrá a la venta Through the Never en formatos caseros: DVD, Blu-Ray, 3D Blu-Ray, digital y alquiler.
Tanto el DVD como el Blu-Ray y el 3D Blu-Ray contendrán contenidos exclusivos “detrás de las cámaras” para explicar todo el proceso de elaboración del film, incluyendo un documental de 80 minutos obra de Adam Dubin (quien ya se encargó del A Year a Half in Life of Metallica) y dos escenas de la película nunca vistas.
Los fans más acérrimos entre los acérrimos podrán adquirir una caja en edición limitada con aún más material extra, entre el que destaca una pieza del escenario usado en la cinta, así como una litografía autografiada por los cuatro miembros de Metallica. El formato digital incluirá la película estrenada en cines y el documental.
